The sky was better tonight - though not perfect! - and it was possible to get an improved mono image using the RC8 of the red spot and, again, the moon Io just visible at left.

Integration time: Lucky imaging: best 20% frames from 3000 video frames (1000 of each RGB).

The sky was extremely turbulent after nearly three weeks of constant cloud, wind and rain. The gusty wind disrupted the seeing and shook the telescope and so sharpness is not as good as it might be here. Additionally, the reach of the 907mm telescope is not really sufficient for planetary imaging. However, Jupiter has recently just passed opposaition and was high (60.3°) at the meridian so this was a chance not to be missed.

The red spot is clearly visible along with the Galilean moon Io on the right of the frame.

Integration time: Lucky imaging: best 25% frames from 3000 video frames (1000 of each RGB).
