Notes

The photo shows the eclipse at 11:53 approximately 15 mins before the Moon’s transit had finished.

A large sunspot (4046) was clearly visible as was a smaller spot nearer the Moon’s limb (4044) and the sunspot group 4043.

The weather was on our side giving excellent views of the 33% eclipse. Since 2025 this day has been cloudy 83% of the time.

The image is a monochrome image colorized in GIMP - Levels clamp input at these values: Red 1.7, Green 0.6, Blue 0.2 - to give a pleasing orange colour.
